Each day I notice more and more boats being put into the harbor.<br /><br /><br />The beautiful little fishing village of Bass Harbor is home to one of the most picturesque lighthouses in Maine, Bass Head Light (pictured on this blog's header). There's a trail that veers off to the left from the parking lot which guides you down to the beautiful salmon colored granite on which the lighthouse sits perched atop. If you were to only take the path marked by the coast guard, you wouldn't see the granite cliff. You'd be directly on the lightkeepers grounds, but you wouldn't see the amazing jagged coastline.
